The Benefits of Exercise

Let’s start with how you feel about your body? How do your feel within your mind? Are you happy?

Having done a lot of self-exploration and soul searching over the years I genuinely feel that life should be about the pursuit of happiness, in whatever shape or form this may be. I have been lucky enough to find this happiness and therefore I feel able to help others in this very personal quest.

When you look at yourself in the mirror what do you see? Are you plagued by that “internal chatter” which keeps your mind pre-occupied with how you look, what others think of you, what you don’t have or can’t achieve?

How would you like to feel about yourself? What would you like to hear people say about you? It is so essential that we address these important questions during our training as a healthy mind equals a healthy body, once the negative internal chatter dies down and we find something to feel proud of and content with, our fitness seems to fall into place and we start to see changes within our physical being.

How are we going to achieve this?

I say “we” because as soon as you sign up with Smithfit Training, you are no longer on your own. I am here with you all the way, sometimes when you might not even want my attention: I won’t take any excuses and am fully comfortable in telling you off if its called for. I am here to support you but also to challenge you: your negative thoughts, your habitual patterns of behaviour. So there may be times when you see me as a bit of a pain, and this is because changing negative patterns of behaviour is sometimes a painful process and never easy. Hey, If it was easy, I’d be out of a job and the world would be a thinner and healthier place!
